Wineridge Deli - Escondido

I enjoy visiting this restaurant when I'm in the area. They have excellent sandwiches and potato salads of high quality!

The food at this restaurant was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The dining room was simple and clean. The open kitchen and soda coolers were organized and well-maintained. The bathroom was also clean and in good condition. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, which was not overloaded with 1000 island dressing, allowing the high quality meat to shine. The sauerkraut had a nice crunch and the bread was delicious. The pickle was fresh, but nothing special. I took the server's recommendation and added the potato salad, which was a small but tasty portion. The coffee was good, especially for only $1 extra. The owner seemed to know all of his regular customers and was friendly and attentive. It's no wonder this place has been in business for almost 30 years.

Very good pastrami. Great fresh Squaw bread. Potato salad with flavor!

Sandwich was good! Wait was very, very long during lunch time. Best thing to do is call/ order ahead.

Much improved over owners of two years ago. Chicken salad sandwich is great.
