We will definitely be back to try more options when we return to Melbourne. It is advisable to call ahead to check for availability as the restaurant was very busy.
The Italian cuisine at this restaurant is incredibly delicious and quite authentic. The thin crusts are perfect - crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The pasta dishes are simple yet tasty, though on the smaller side. The green beans on the side were especially delicious. The service was a bit slow, but understandable given how busy they were. Management made an effort to compensate for the slow service. While the prices are on the higher end, they are in line with other upscale Italian restaurants.
I always have a great experience at this restaurant! I recently visited the one at Crown and was impressed by the high quality and delicious food. I decided to try a pasta dish this time, and it was incredible - a creamy mixed mushroom dish. The gelato was also really good, with a perfect texture and consistency. The passion fruit flavor is made with yogurt, giving it a creamy taste.
Fantastic service by the wait staff, glasses always fillled when empty. Delicious food compliments to the chef's and the birthday cake was delicious. Great job by all and the fantastic service provided by Maria for the booking and the night went off without a hitch. Will be definitely back whether for an intimate dinner or party booking.
Had the mozzarelle fritte, carnivora and suprema.<br/ <br/ Mozzarelle fritte was really good. Crunchy on the outside and the cheese was stringy when you bit into it.<br/ <br/ Carnivora was nice. Salty from the prosciutto.<br/ Suprema was alright. Kind of plain.<br/ Pizza base was the best. Thin and chewy base. Crispy and chewy crust. Surprisingly, it's very filling. Looks like the pictures.<br/ <br/ Staff was nice. Not many people during 6pm on a Friday. I wouldn't go back, too expensive for what I'm getting. $28 for Canivora, $26 for Suprema and $16 for the mozzarelle fritte. $10 for sparkling water.
