Bagel Market - Essex

My second visit was no better; the bagel was excessively chewy, but not in a good way. Perhaps it just wasn't toasted enough? I was hopeful that my next experience would be better. On my third visit today, I ordered a garlic bagel with veggie cream cheese, but it tasted like it had been made days ago and should have been thrown out. Unfortunately, it wasn’t even edible enough for me to finish.

This used to be my favorite spot, but it has really declined, and ordering here has become frustrating. The staff always seem unhappy, almost like they'd prefer to be anywhere else. My wrap took 30 minutes to arrive, and when I approached the counter to check on it, the employee looked annoyed. The last time I visited, a sandwich took 20 minutes to make. If you take a moment to observe how this place operates, you'll notice many inefficiencies. It's baffling how other bagel shops can manage to make twice the number of sandwiches in half the time. Save yourself the trouble and try a different bagel place, especially if you're looking for a quick meal.

Every now and then, I try to give this place another shot since it has such a great reputation! The bagels are truly delicious. However, whenever I order anything beyond just cream cheese, my sandwich always ends up being incorrect, often missing the extra ingredients I've paid for. The cashiers are typically very friendly and always greet me with a smile. Unfortunately, the staff making the sandwiches often seem unhappy and give off an uncomfortable vibe.

With a line out the door I thought ?this place must be incredible!? After about a 30min wait for a simple bagel I was so excited. Our expectations weren?t exactly met. Employees seemed annoyed we were there, bagels weren?t toasted, and thesandwiches were just ?okay?. With so many amazing local shops offering incredible bagels and coffee, we probably won?t beback. Update: Returned for a similarly lackluster experience recently. It wasn?t a fluke, the standard is sub par.

Came in for a quick lunch. Ordered a ham sandwich on wheat with veggies and no onion and turkey on white. Turkey was on wheat loaded with veggies and onion. Ham was on white. The kids at the counter accused us of having ordered wrong. After we showed ourreceipt, he then took back the sandwiches, took them apart, and rearranged them, giving them back to us. The resulting mess wasinedible and falling apart. We threw both away and went elsewhere. This place might have good bagels; I will never know. Thekids they have hired are disrespectful and brazen. Will not be back.
