Jerk Mon Grill - Essex

Really good Jamaican at this place. Many outdoor seating and they have barbecues outside where they cook the chicken. The jerk sauce is super good and has a kick. The Ruck Chicken Pattie’s were amazing and so were the vegetables. This restaurant is here as long as I can remember and can't wait to come back and get more Patties. This is the real deal and authentic.

The food is good. just needs a bit more gravity when you get oxtail and make sure that sauce is added with jerk! Plantains were good! I had oxtail and curry goats. The parts were also big. It was super busy on a Saturday (what I understand), but it must be a more organized way to order/cross. Waiting for our meals was longer than acceptable. But I'd go back. I want them to succeed.

This place has boiled me at her jerk chicken, which actually marinated for a few days, then on an outdoor grill. My other favorite is her idiot laugh to die. Beautiful small cozy place in section from the main road. If you are not careful, you can miss your turn. You have all the foods that a Jamaican should carry out. I am very happy about their service and food.

Very delicious food. The outdoor seating area is great. You are very busy and it takes 30-40 minutes to get your order. Not sure why some people complained about customer service - this is not a 5-star restaurant. Portions are huge and prices are very reasonable.

Curry goat, Mac and Cheese, and White rice… soooo good I ordered from Grubhub yesterday and the driver stole my order. I placed another order for pick up to get it myself because I love their food so much. I came back the next day and got more food… The best Jamaican food in the DMV. Been coming here for years, they never disappoint.
