We were in town to see an Everglades game at Hertz Arena and decided to stop at this location for dinner. We ordered the pick two, my husband got chicken and sliced pork with corn on the cob and baked beans. I got ribs and pork with a baked potato and corn on the cob. Let's start with the ribs, very dry, overcooked, and very little meat. Then the sliced pork was super dry but on top of that they were barely warm. We didn't complain as we didn't have a lot of time to wait for new food so basically ate what we could and just sucked it up. The thing is, we've been to this location before and honestly it was about the same quality of food but for a bbq place you'd think maybe they'd get it right most of the time, but nope it doesn't appear that way.
I have call ahead the order to go. We love rib City rib. I also like the slice pork by pound also. The order was on time and ready when I arrived. I got half pound slice pork. It has minor fat that I want and the meat is very moist. I also got two racks of baby back rib. It was delicious. The food is expected good. We are enjoy the order.
I went to rib city today and they were outstanding. It was clean, the hostess was quick to seat us, the server was friendly and very attentive. The bathroom was clean and the food was hot and tasty! The manager, Sammy even stopped by and was welcoming and took her time to make sure everyone was happy and doing great. Love the staff and food.
I was in the mood for a sliced brisket sandwich and there are not many bbq options in the area. The service was friendly and the sandwich pretty good. There was a fair amount of fat which took a couple minutes to cut off, and the fries were pretty boring. I also always find it a little strange when bbq restaurant provided the sauces in pre-sealed small portions. I 'm not naïve enough to think restaurant make there sauces onsite but nothing says chain and manufactured like peeling off the lid of an assembly line sauce in a plastic container. I would have liked a baked potato but that is only available after 4pm. For those who may be COVID concerned, this is the only restaurant I have been to in months that did not have any signs asking people to wear a mask (on the way to the table). And as a result I didn 't see anyone wearing a mask while entering or leaving but the employees all did. And they use disposable menus. I will be back, would appropriate expectations.
Had a hard time placing an order to Pick up. Online was not easy and so called, but couldn't hear me or get it right. Then when I get there the kid calls me boss man (trying to be slick) and then can figure out our to correct it. And there was no one there! The pork was good but cheap sauce. Corn was 1/3 cob and boiled to death with no flavor. Sweet potato fries were good. Hopefully better for you. But nothing to brag about here.
