Seven Keys Lodge - ESTES PARK

Ate dinner here ... Lovely spot off the beaten track a bit and away from the crowds downtown.Food drinks: Trout, Bison and blueberry cobbler all solid. Old -Fashioned drink menu adds some flair!

Had a fantastic dinner here and a great time at the bar with the owners. Cocktails and food were great. Only suggestion is a bit more staff training regarding the menu and wine list.Service: 4/5

Saw the entrance to the Seven Keys Lodge when visiting Lily Lake so researched it more. Found out that it’s on the National Register of Historic Places and has the largest collection of keys in the world (over 20,000) which sparked my curiosity. Went to go visit the location, which is under new ownership, from the previous Baldplate Inn, named after the Seven Keys to Baldpate by Earl Derr Biggers. It also had dozens of hummingbirds on its patio which we loved. The good food, mountain views, and unique history made it among the highlights of our our trip to Estes Park.

We went for dinner and so did not stay overnight (as we live locally). However the location is incredible and the views cannot be beat!Food drinks: First time dining at Seven Keys! The food was amazing charcuterie for our appetizer, short ribs and elk strip steak for dinner, blueberry cobbler for dessert. AMAZING and DELICOUS! The staff were so sweet and kind, they told us all about the history and gave us an informative tour. The views are stunningly beautiful! We're already planning a return for brunch!

Meredith and Marcus Powell have created a fantastic family-run operation! Their children are involved too (special shoutout to Macy!), which adds to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The location is excellent, just about 15 minutes from most attractions. The rooms are what you'd expect, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. The food is likely the best I've had in Colorado as well. I can't recommend this lodge highly enough!
