Le Relais d'Etagnac

We live very close to etagnac and were explained by many ouyr friends for the seafood buffet. We advise to book. The main dining room was full when we were there. Seafood was incredible desserts to die and of course a...cheese board to exploits. One of our parties could not eat seafood and the kitchen produced a great main course . The staff is very friendly. This is not a place to go if you want a snack at our visit a person went to the main dish buffet 6 times! A wonderful way to lose three hours on Sunday

We've been going here a lot in the summer months in the last 5 years. We like the small dining room in the front as it becomes extremely busy at noon in the back dining room. We always have a nice meal from the...menu du jour, this is 14 euros this year for 3 courses. I think it is a good value and a varied daily menu cooked to a high standard. The service is always good.

A very comfortable restaurant, highly recommended. Buffet starters always varied and often something new, sea snails for the last time!

We stopped for lunch on our way to catch a flight at Limoges. Opted for the menu du jour 3 course with cheese and with coffee to finish. Superb service from a lovely family with good options for cold and hot starters, main courses...and desserts. The food was all of high quality in a great atmosphere. A really good experience and well worth a stop off from or to Limoges Bellegarde Airport. We will certainly use in future.

On the main road from Confolens to St Junien, This popular hotel restaurant has never let us down. They can be very busy at lunch time and occasionally we have had to wait for a few minutes for a table. The cuisine is close to...nouvelle but not overtly so. It is interesting with new and well prepared ideas. The price might be higher than average but it is worth a visit or two. There is a huge restaurant at the back, which is normally full of truckers and workers, this provides an economic set meal and speaks for itself. They don't go somewhere bad !! , We eat a la carte in the smaller front room. The service is friendly and efficient but they can be rather pressed at lunch time. After lunch a short walk to the lovely Chateau d'Etagnac will help your food go down.
