The food quality has become really bad. I have been going to this place for over 15 years and it used to be one of best Hakka’s but recent experience was horrible. I ordered chili chicken and it looked and tasted disgusting. The chicken was old and has small pieces of bones and fat on them. . Last time was my last meal in this place.
Do not come here if you like Fredericks, Eddie's, Hakka no.1 or any other authentic Hakka place. Very possible new owners/chef.This is some Indian version with ketchup it seems in everything. We spent $100 and all three of us are in agreement, it is the absolute worst hakka I've eaten last 25yrs in GTA.Whatever batter on the chicken is like funnel cake batter. No green chillies rather seranos with ketchup or something.Bombay spice chicken tastes same as pakora and very similar to ketchup chilli chicken.Special Faley beef should be called faulty beef.Manchurian paneer was hard as rock, seemed like a week old.Only think edible was steamed rice.$97 in the garbage
First time and last time. Food tasted very watered down.Had the Szechuan chicken and hot and sour soup. Managed to reluctantly finish the Szechuan chicken but I threw out the hot and sour soup. It wasn't hot or sour..Worst Hakka food I ever tasted. Maybe it was good for diabetic, high cholesterol people because it had no taste. Waste of $20Service was fast and greeted nicely. Atmosphere was the average Hakka dine in takeout spot. Nothing special.
I visited this restaurant after dropping off my Grandma at the airport! It was fantastic - the Chilli Fish Fried Rice is my absolute favorite!
