Sushi-Ya Japanese - Etobicoke

Great food, everything was high quality and fresh. Dishes were beautifully plated, even more so than what's typical for a sushi place. Menu had plenty to choose from including not only all the typical sushi dishes but also lots of hot dishes. Moderate selection of sake. Service was friendly. Place was very clean and comfortable with high quality seating and plenty of decorations. It had sort of a homey atomposhere which I really liked.

Fresh food, fast service, lovely ambiance and friendly staff! Definitely recommend.Second edit a year later: we are flying out of the province tomorrow and we were undecided on where to eat. We remembered how much we loved Sushi-Ya and decided to come back again and it was just as amazing as the last time. The rolls were perfect and we got the Bulgogi plate and Grilled Steak it was cooked to perfection . Our server was attentive, friendly and knew her stuff.. They don't have 1000+ reviews for nothin! Highly recommend.

Tucked-away little gem. Can be tricky to find, but well worth it. Quality and freshness of the sashimi outstanding. Very reasonably priced. Busy at lunchtime. Recommended.

Amazing.Coming from the US for a hockey tournament, sticking to a routine is impossible. It was 8pm and we were hungry. Somehow a lot of places were already closed. We decided to go to Sushi-Ya Japan. Not gonna lie, their parking lot is small. We were lucky to get the last spot.Once inside, the experience is amazing. This was by far one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever been to. There was so much food, we couldn't even finish it. Everything tasted amazingly fresh and yummy.This was by far the best culinary experience we've had in the 4+ years we've been coming to Toronto for the tournament.We will definitely be back. Put me down for a table for next June! ?
