Contribuisci feedbackI did try the salsa that came on the side; it was flavorful but a bit too spicy for my sensitive palate. My dining companion opted for the massive Countryside Breakfast and enjoyed every single bite. I can’t wait to return! I'm sharing some photos from this meal now. Debra wasn’t around this time, but both of our servers were very nice. I’ve frequented Countryside several times before, often with friends, and I thought I had already reviewed it—sorry about that! I’ve had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here, including pizza, and I’ve never had a bad meal or service. I’ve also visited the attached bar during Happy Hours, watching various friends’ bands perform while dancing the night away. I can’t speak to the drinks since I don't drink alcohol, but my friends say the Happy Hour cocktails are quite strong. Today, we chose breakfast because my son and daughter-in-law had never been here before. My Countryside Benedict was absolutely delicious. The blue cheese crumbles were fresh and creamy—definitely not the tart or tangy kind I’ve encountered at other places. The hollandaise sauce here is the best I’ve had in town, and I plan to request extra next time because it’s just that good. I was thrilled to see plenty of crispy bacon on my Benedict, and the cook prepared my eggs exactly how I like them. I always ask for my eggs to be cooked hard/well, but many places refuse to poach them that way, which forces me to send my order back—a hassle I truly dislike. Debra, our server, was a delight and instrumental in ensuring my eggs were cooked to my liking. The English muffins were toasted perfectly, so when I took bites of my decadent Benedict, I wasn’t struggling with dry, tough bread like I have at other restaurants. The hash browns were expertly crisped (without being dry) and had tiny bits of grilled onion throughout, adding great flavor. We all opted for decaf coffee, which was fantastic—strong and flavorful, thanks to the roaster they use. My son ordered the shrimp omelette with onions (no tomatoes) and hollandaise sauce, plus a side of sausage gravy for his home fries. His home fries were nice and soft, unlike the dried-out chunks he’s sadly had at other places. They included onions and bell peppers, which he really enjoyed. He also ordered a handmade biscuit, which he said was delicious. My daughter-in-law built her own omelette, though I can't remember everything she added besides cheese and spinach with linguica. She also got a biscuit, sausage gravy, and home fries, all of which she liked as well. Debra mentioned that she was new, but she certainly didn’t seem like it—she was on top of her game and an absolute pleasure to interact with. This restaurant has been a long-standing establishment in Eugene, and I wish more people would take notice of it. I’ve had a variety of meals here and have never been disappointed. For my followers, there was a zero on my Sneeze-o-meter, meaning no chemicals, artificial ingredients, preservatives, flavor enhancers, or odd stuff in the creation of their FANTASTIC food! I hope you all come by and give it a try—you’ll undoubtedly become a regular!
My favorite breakfast place! It's much more than just pizza! The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is delicious, and it's only a couple of miles from my home. They also serve drinks.
The food was incredible! The pizza is definitely some of the best in town, and it’s reasonably priced. This place is fantastic! I will definitely be returning!
I decided to give this restaurant a try, but it turned out to be a disappointment. I stopped by today to order a bacon cheeseburger. I told the waitress what I wanted...
I had a fantastic experience with their pizza! It was ready quickly—only 20 minutes after I called. The ingredients were fresh, the crust was perfectly crispy, and the cheese was melted just right. It was a bit on the expensive side, but well worth it.
