Long's Meat And Deli - Eugene

This place is a legend amongst the eugene community and their meat selection is absolutely incredible and I'm sure they make their name on quality. The Pastrami sandwich leaves much to be desired . Although quality meat, the preparation and execution was sub par , very gristly and tough bites the meat should be cut up or more tender. the bread lacks substantially as well served on cibatta bread , Rye bread is standard with Russian dressing slaw and pickle. Was good but seriously lacking and guess mainly because of how Pastrami was cooked, not tender. Honest feedback for a place that could do so much better

I am for sure biased but this is probably the best butcher in the state. Super helpful staff, high quality meats and a great lunch counter. I always go here when I need something special or just for a couple of steaks for dinner. To top it all off, it's a small business that offers local goods and supports local producers. I recommend Long's at every opportunity.

I went to Long's for the first time yesterday as soon as they opened. I was greeted and shown around because I mentioned this is my first time. I usually have anxiety shopping in new places. The employee that helped me was really nice and gave great suggestions. Yes they are slightly more expensive but I got service right away and that is worth the value right there. I ended up ground meat, boneless chicken, and chicken and bacon Kielbasa links. The meat looks fresh and I have some ground beef last night when I made some chili and it was excellent. I appreciate the help and you will see me again.

Love the quality of the meats and the friendly knowledgeable butchers. If ya have questions just ask em. They don't make ya feel like a noob and take care of ya fully. They will cut bones for you dog to whatever size ya want and they will pull the membrane off a rack of ribs which is a huge blessing. Highly recommend.

Highest quality meat available, priced appropriately for what you get.I've been fortunate to have Lindsey help me every time I've been here and she is amazing.
