Thai Spice - Eugene

The food was flavorful and the service was quick, but the serving sizes were not worth the price. The iced Thai coffee was disappointing and tasted like a strong, unpleasant concentrate.

If you are considering eating at 5th street eatery in Eugene Oregon, then Thai Spice is a MUST TRY! I stumbled upon Thai Spice and it was sooo worth it! The yellow curry has an even balance of spice and peanut sauce while the steamed rice is fresh. Their portions are perfect. And the ginger tea was great for the overcast day .

Not sure why it’s taken me so long to make a review but I have been nourished by Thai Spice for like 3 years now.I actively resist eating there everyday (so instead I eat there once a week). So freaking good.This is how good: I find myself involuntarily making sounds — literal and audible *moans* — as I eat. I can’t even help it. Every bite is so good, and I eat every bite. I’m sad when my dish is over. (To be clear, I’m not mad about portion size, I’m well aware this is *quality* food and not the freaking HomeTown Buffet).Plus their service is fantastic: friendly and efficient. Food taste amazing but they literally gave us half the food with our take out order. Look at the beef compared to the chicken. And there was even less curry. Also paid $2 to add carrots to the curry, no carrots. Now I have to figure out how to feed 3 people with only enough for maybe 1.5 people. I guess you shouldn’t order 2 hours before closing because they have obviously stop caring at that point in their day.

I really enjoyed their special pumpkin curry and spring rolls at this restaurant. The hoisin sauce for the spring rolls was a bit bland and the rice was just okay. Despite being located in a very touristy area at 5th Street Market, it is one of the better places to eat. I would definitely consider giving them another try. The Thai tea they serve is also great.
