The cozy and inviting interior, along with the breathtaking views, make it a must-visit spot. I particularly enjoy the stories and photographs that showcase the Chalet's fascinating history. Whether you're looking for a delicious breakfast while exploring Eungella or a drink and a meal at any time, this is the perfect place to visit.
Absolutely disgusting coffee. Complained they offered another one but I didn't get offered a refund. Was told the food wasn't good . Only good thing was the view
We ordered chicken schnitzel, chips, and salad. Our friends had chicken parmy. The schnitzel tasted like it came from Coles or Woolworths, with no flavor at all. The parmy topping was just packet ham. It came with 2 thin slices of cucumber, 2 thin slices of beetroot, grated carrot, lettuce, and only 12 chips for $25.50 each. This meal should have been priced more like a $12 pub special at best. We were very disappointed to bring our friends from out of town for this meal. The only redeeming factor was the great view over the valley, which earns this place 1 star.
The view at this restaurant was amazing, but unfortunately, the food was terrible. My pork chop was undercooked and when we mentioned it to the staff, they asked if we had requested it to be cooked a certain way. I wasn't aware that you had to specify how you wanted your food cooked. When my plate was returned, the chips were still cold and the chop was now cooked, but the overall experience was disappointing. I believe this restaurant can do better.
Visited on a hot summers day with family of 5 after visiting Finch Hatton George. It’s about a 20 min drive from the George. The drive is beautiful and the chalet itself the same. We ordered a fisherman’s basket, pork chop (50% fat), chicken snitz, kids pizza and steak sanga on basic white bread. Coffee just ok as well. All were average at best unfortunately and not fitting the beautiful views and restaurant itself.
