Suzannes's Hideaway Cafe - Eungella

This place was absolutely crazy. I had a bad feeling from the moment I walked in. It took a few minutes to find the owner, who finally showed up with half a scone in her mouth. When we asked if it was still a cafe, she replied with "both" while still eating. After taking a quick look around, we decided to leave. I'm glad we did after reading the other reviews.

You must visit Suzanne's restaurant. Suzanne has been in the area for 35 years and is very knowledgeable about all of her treasures. She has memorable pieces from all over the world, primarily in china and glass, but her collection doesn't stop there. Suzanne is also a crafty individual and has handmade many pieces of jewelry. The variety of items seems endless. The small café offers a lovely view of her gardens. You may need to set aside some time, as although it is advertised as a café, you will likely find yourself lost in the memories that the collector's items evoke.

Today we chanced upon Suzanna's Hideaway... what an absolute delight! The lovely lady herself is as interesting and engaging as every trinket and treasure in her shop/home. Her coffee and apple strudel were scrumptious with glorious views. It was heart-warming to know the strudel had come from her kitchen only metres away, made in an oven that she had chopped wood for. A truely whimsical place with an abundance of kinetic history that is fascinating to behold, and to purchase!! Take your credit card; her treasures are very affordable. Visitors with an open-mind, sense of curiosity and wonder will be rewarded.... I promise!

Very quirky shop with verandah cafe serving coffee, tea apple strudel. We were greeted by coloured stone driveway an abundance of ornaments, crafts, crockery jewellery. Felt like part of the house rather than a shop. The owner didn't appear until we were leaving

No longer serving food (which is a shame and another casualty of the virus) the home, gardens, gift shop and Suzanne are just delightful. There are just an unbelievable amount of priceless gems at amazing prices. Just wow and definately the prices are so reasonable. A do not miss.
