Ordered bacon cheeseburger with jalapenos cooked medium came without bacon, 2 jalapenos, way overcooked, pieced together under the bread cold fries. Husband ordered hamburger steak with loaded baked potato. It was also overcooked extremely salty onion gravy. He even tried scraping it off to get rid of some of the salt. We were on a time crunch couldn't wait for anything else. Our server was very nice.
I have never had an experience at this establishment that wasn’t absolutely excellent. The service is outstanding and the staff are very kind and attentive. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Food and customer service gets my 5 stars, but because they close on Sunday at 2 pm, patience with some people go out the window. But overall, they are good.
We’ve eaten at Ronnie’s plenty of times for lunch, no complaints. Tonight we decided to try the buffet. It was 34$/person. The buffet was a complete mess. When the food was ready, everyone piled in but got in lines on separate sides and people just kind of had to push their way around. There were a lot of severely obese people there and they managed to successfully push the regular sized people out of their way. The food had good flavor but almost everything was cold. My husband saw kitchen staff bring out fresh crabs so he grabbed us each one thinking they would be hot. Nope! Like everything else, it was cold. I realize that Ronnie’s is fairly new to having a buffet, so perhaps they just don’t have their timing down to get out hot food. The gumbo is very roux heavy and they ask that each person limit themselves to two crabs. Overall it was a complete disappointment and sickening that it cost as much as it did for it to all be cold. On the plus side, our waitress was very friendly. I would recommend Ronnie’s for their lunches but do not recommend the buffet. We have no plans of returning.
