Unable to resist, I quickly called my wife to inform her that I would be skipping lunch at home. I opted for the brisket and rare steak, which proved to be a delicious choice on a cold afternoon, warming my soul. In the future, I will stick with the brisket alone and forgo the steak.
I tried the Seafood pho at this restaurant and found the flavor to be delicious. However, I was disappointed to find that the dish only contained fish balls, 4 medium shrimp, and imitation squid, rather than a variety of seafood as I had expected. The cost of the dish was 16.99, but I tried to negotiate a lower price since I felt that the imitation meat was not enjoyable. I learned that the Shrimp pho, priced at 15.99, comes with 8 shrimp and may be a better value for those looking for a more authentic experience. The menu did not provide information on the ingredients in the pho, which I found to be a drawback. On the positive side, the fried shrimp and chili sauce were tasty, and the restaurant itself was clean and well-organized. If I were to return, I would likely try other menu items instead of the pho.
One of the top places for Pho in Augusta. I have visited a few times and sampled both the Pho and rice dishes. The rare steak Pho is tasty, but a bit expensive for the portion size. The BBQ Pork Fried Rice is decent, with the pork lacking in flavor but the rice being delicious. Even after expenses, a plate of fried rice will cost over $17. I don't visit frequently because the prices don't match the food quality, but it's not terrible either. If you don't mind paying a bit more, I would still give it 4 stars.
I finally decided to swing by after hearing so many people talk about their Pho. It was a great good to place for Vietnamese food and if you have a crazing for Pho this is the spot. It is properly served and the rice and steak dish are also delicious. This is my go to place for Vietnamese food. I just wish they had a location in downtown Augusta or in North Augusta.
The food was average, maybe a bit less, and the atmosphere was dirty. We arrived and got sat at a sticky table and given menus. We ordered some pho and an appetizer, while we were terrorized by fruit flies. The waiter was short (in his manner of speaking, not physically) and disinterested in any sort of conversation. I get it, it 's food service- nobody is happy doing that job, but a smile would have been nice. The pho here was alright, probably a 4/10. My wife is vietnamese so I often times find myself eating sometimes cooking homecooked viet food. The pho here had a very light flavor, and tasted almost like ramen broth. The chili sauced on the table looked like they hadn 't been changed in months too! The chicken bites appetizer was exactly what I expected. Dry unseasoned pieces of chicken deep fried. I have eaten better fried chicken at my highschool lunch cafeteria, but I 'll give them the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to a cultural difference in tastes. Despite all the negatives, it was overall a fine experience. We got in, ate, and left. It was filling and steaming hot, and we did not get left waiting for the bill or for service. Everything they did was fine .
