Great place for excellent food. The “refreshing” role is very delicate. Bring your own alcohol drinks.

Very disappointing. Everything took forever, forever to order, forever to get drinks, forever to get dinner. We were a large party with a toddler. Please realize that toddlers do not have patience for an over 2 hour dinner. The last few orders out were less than ideal although earlier dishes were superb. Staff very polite and apologetic for length of time. Don’t really understand why things took soooo long.

We have been to Shinsen twice in the past 3 weeks. We greatly enjoyed our first visit and decided to try it again. On the second visit we intentionally ordered 4 dishes we did not previously try. Each dish was outstanding. Our only concern was that the restaurant was not very busy for a Saturday evening. We truly hope the restaurant is successful because the food and service are excellent.
