The Barn Steakhouse - Evanston

Love The Barn Steakhouse! Took an out of town guest there last week and had a great time. Also have celebrated family b-days there. Always a great experience!

Party of 6 . The food was very disappointing. 1 small hard bread roll per person, no thank you, keep it. Started with ceviche, not flavorful or fresh tasting, lost its color , romaine gem salad .,shrimp de jonghe. The de jonghe was sent back greatly undercooked and grey inside . Another came about 1 min later. How is that possible? Didn't touch it after that . My entree was the halibut special it was completely overcooked opposite of the de jonghe. Steak Ribeye was also dry and flavorless . Our whole party was disappointed with their entrees, all different cuts of steak. Could we have sent it back probably, but we didn't come to send it back or to have our meals taken care of? We came to dine and enjoy and didn't accomplish that for 250$ per couple . Lastly, I wanted to order a nice bottle of pinor nior they were out . We will not be returning . June 14th, 2024, was our reservation.

We love to sit at the bar!! This place is wonderful.

Exceptional food and service. Highly recommended. The baked brussel sprouts are amazing. Our table had a variety of steaks and everyone was pleased.

I used to go here at least once a week for dinner with guests. I am giving this restaurant a 1 because the city of Evanston has a new pay for parking rule. Also if a car or SUB is parking in front of their very LITTLE sign. Nobody can see it. All about the money we will not frequent your restaurant anymore as a result of this. I 'm sorry the food and service is great but you guys have to reach out to your local police and do better.
