El Vallarta - Evansville

The food was satisfactory, but the service was quite slow, and we had to repeat our orders. At the time, there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. When it came time to split the bill, it turned into a frustrating experience.

I didn't enjoy my experience at the restaurant last night. The food was undercooked and had hair in it. When I informed the waitress about the issues, she simply handed me a review form and ignored my concerns.

Always outstanding! This is undoubtedly the best Mexican restaurant in the area.

I have lived in chicago and denver, so I have eaten in dozens of excellent Mexican restaurants. the aromen of el vallarta are all as good as the other places I was. but having a place that is so good in a small town of 6000 people is a real tasty bite! the queso and beans dip is fantastic and so their freshly made guacamole! they have any combination of items on the menu- it is almost too many choices! lol! the orchata is delicious and so are the margaritas! They also serve a lot of jarritos Mexican soda, which adds another hauch of authenticity and every child loves it, not to mention this adult too). the roasted ice as well as the churros are amazing desserts, except we are in the rule too full to order them because the portions are so generous)! they have excellent specials in the week 1.25 tacos for taco Tuesday is hard to beat), also! the service is friendly and always timely. Finally, the quality and amount of food they get for them is better than anything I have seen in a long time. you can't go wrong here, whether it's all grown up or a family with children. I would recommend el vallarta to everyone! it is worth the journey from madison or janesville or one of the small towns within 30 minutes.

Excellent food, good atmosphere, and good service. Love their chips and salsa, be sure to get aside of the queso cheese. Margaritas ain’t bad either, lol.
