The food here is DISGUSTING! Super bland, mushy and just overall oddly tasted. My rice tasted like a cardboard box and my noodles were slimy and disgusting. The actual meal tasted like someone had poured finger nail polish remover on it or something! Literally threw an entire lunch entree in the trash can because I was afraid it was going to make me puke!! Take it from me don?t waste your money or time going here! SICK!!!
My first time here and honestly the best food I've had in Evansville without a doubt. Ordered the Dinner for 2 and it was well worth the price.. the service was phenomenal and they should be so proud of the experience they give each table. Will be back soon to try other dishes!
Don?t be fooled by the fake reviews on here. Yen Ching is not good. It?s incredibly bland, even with all kinds of sauces spices added from home. It is highly overpriced for the quality. We ate a few bites then decided to get fast food. If it is a Monday, you want a Chinese fix, your favorite is closed, pick somewhere else! The chicken was bitter and slimy. The lo mein noodles had no sauce or flavor of any kind.
For me, this is the most authentic Chinese restaurant in Evansville. The food isn't bought from the same supplier as most Chinese restaurants that I have visited. The atmosphere is really great. I love the egg drop soup and their General Tsos chicken. They had to remove their buffet due to Covid, but their food quality is superb. I bought a family package for four adults and we had enough for lunch the next day. Their service is always friendly and top notch.
