Umami - Everett

I really wanted to like this place because sushi burritos are hard to come by up north. Gave them about a dozen tries. I guess all I can say is don’t ever order takeout over the phone but order in-person because they frequently get the order wrong. Today I ordered two salmon burritos with just salmon and avocado and a side of sweet mango sauce to-go. Despite me confirming multiple times that I did not want any other toppings, they stuffed the burritos with fake crab filler. Why? Lol. And they forgot the sauce. And then if you do get toppings, they’ll just barely put in any fish in there at all, like 3/4 of a scoop for an entire burrito. They cut corners and before you know it you’ve paid 14-15 dollars for rice and initiation crab, mushy avocado and like 5 tiny chunks of salmon. I think they get enough business to stay moderately busy so they feel like they can cut these corners but the thing is, this is what’s keeping them from ever being a GREAT restaurant like FOB in Seattle or the Zen sushi burrito spot in Tacoma. Just focus more on quality, fair portions, and getting the orders right and you could have something awesome.

Yum! The Seahawks sushi burrito is amazing!!! Much taste and a little spice, not too dirty and very full! I also ordered the Gyoza who was cold when he arrived, but still delicious, and the sauce with him was really good. I will definitely come back to try the other sushi burritos!

Finally, after driving through the Sushi Burrito shield remained for so long. Service was friendly and super fast!! I had a spicy tuna sushi burrito, I need the toppings I wanted and the ingredients were as fresh as possible, it was absolutely delicious!! I'm excited to go back and try a poke-shell next, I saw a few being made before me and they look really awesome. Great discovery!

Umami is delicious!! I love coming here. The prices are not too bad and it is right next to my school. The people who work there are always so sweet and give great recommendations. I have a taro bubble tea with strawberry jelly and one of the chefs special sushi burritos. Both were delicious and well done.

My friend just DoorDash’d me some Boba from this place, and in the comment note for the order, my friend asked them to say Happy Birthday to me. They sent the order with a little sticky note, and it honestly made my day. I was having a pretty bad birthday, but this was really sweet. Thank you. <3
