The everglades rod gun club is a must see hotel and restaurant in everglades city. located on a canal, it is a step back in the time until 1922 when it was.

I was in about 20 years not in the rod gun club and it was quite exactly as I remembered it. a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere full.

Everglades City’s and probably one of Florida’s most unique steps back in history. Founded in 1864, the interior hasn’t seemed to change since then. The waitress was a local from Chokoloskee, Fl., who was excellent and informative. The food was excellent and served piping hot. We both had Grouper, and it was some of the best we’ve ever had. The desert was either strawberry short cake or key lime pi’s. We opted for the strawberry short cake and it was great. Definitely a must see and visit. Truly Florida’s hidden secret.

Awesome place to visit and eat! The scallops were great! The staff was all very friendly! Our waiter was very good and personable! I recommend it to all! You will love the atmosphere and food
