Gelataria Zoka - Évora

Only place open and the gelato was great. Not only that, we ran out of cash and the attendant helped us out rather than turn us away. That’s awesome.

Boa tarde, I'll speak in English since I'm more comfortable with the language. I visited this ice cream shop a few times, my partner visited more often as she would work and study there too, so after so much insistence I decided to come with her a few days. I had a coffee and crepes and everything was delicious. Their ice cream is also very good. The employee spoke English very well, even with my bad accent, she understood it all. Portuguese is very hard to learn. But she was very patient and polite. Thank you for being so nice, serving me good coffee and teaching me portuguese words, Suzana! Obrigado! Beijos! We hope to come back to this town someday in the future. I learned a lot about Portuguese history and culture. Must also say that this ice cream shop is at a very nice place, everything is close by. In this ice cream shop we had to pay with money and not credit card, which was very common in this town, but there is an ATM very close by and everyone was nice to help me get there. Even if I did get lost and found my way to the park instead, but that was my fault. You can also eat some nice pastries here, you can sit outside or indoors. But indoors must always wear mask unless you are eating or drinking, which is ok. Was very good and hope to come back. I recommend: Visiting the nearby park, it is very pretty and sometimes has music too. And also Bones Chapel. It was hauntingly beautiful and full of history.

The gelato has no flavor and no texture. Tastes like ice milk. First time a Rick Steve’s recommendation has let us down. After throwing it out, we went around the corner to Fabrica dos Gelados. Excellent gelato! And the locals eat here.

Home made ice-cream that tastes delicious (they are big! , and good coffee with pastel de nata as well!

Good ice creams, really nice location near Praça do Giraldo. But comparing with other ice cream places in lisbon, they are average.
