Unfortunately, there were a few issues with our room, the water pressure in the bathroom sink was very very low, the cable television was intermittent. Room service was on a limited menu in the middle of the day but restaurant dining was very good and staff were friendly. The Tavern was quaint and the live music was enjoyable. The pool was a popular activity for guests and seating was very limited. The cabanas that can be rented take up a lot of space that could accommodate additional lounges for guests. Overall, we had a good stay and we would come back again. PS- we vote for the coffee shop to stay open longer!
We love this historic hotel. Wonderful amenities and this time enjoyed the outdoor pool. Rooms: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury
We chose this hotel because it has an outdoor and indoor pool. Both were freezing cold and its August! We weren't able to swim because they were so cold. Everything else was great. We probably wouldn't stay here again though because the pool is important for our hotel stays. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet

My family had an absolutely delightful stay at The Elms Hotel Spa. Our Signature Suite, with its spacious layout, impeccable cleanliness, and remarkably comfortable bed, made for a truly memorable experience. The indulgence of the jacuzzi tub added an extra layer of relaxation to our stay. One of the standout features of this historic gem, built in 1888, is the abundant charm and character it exudes. The staff were not only accommodating and professional but also radiated kindness, making our stay feel truly special. The hotel 's grounds are a serene paradise with a picturesque gazebo, inviting hammocks, a captivating fire pit, stunning natural surroundings including luscious trees and a flowing creek. The spa experience was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The grotto included with the spa package was a haven of relaxation, offering a range of facilities from dry sauna to steam room, steam shower with exfoliating scrubs, cold shower, and hot tub. The pedicure I received was a true delight, thanks to the friendly and skilled staff. For those looking for unique experiences, the basement lap pool was an unexpected hidden gem, offering an intriguing space to explore and enjoy. The large outdoor pool, at a generous 10-foot depth, was a joy to swim in. With ample comfortable seating, umbrellas, and a lively cabana bar, it was the perfect spot to unwind. The poolside dining options were not just convenient but also quite delicious. While The Elms Hotel Spa is a historic gem, it 's important to note that its age does come with some quirks. The single, small elevator may not align with modern expectations, and the air conditioner in the room can be a bit noisy – potentially an issue for light sleepers. Also worth noting, while the private fifth floor Royal concierge lounge, in concept, was a nice addition to the suites, my experience found it to be a bit lacking. It offered a lounge area with comfortable chairs and tables, complimentary water bottles, seltzers, trail mix, nuts, and a small variety of fruit. However, it wasn 't readily restocked, and the advertised sense of royalty was somewhat elusive. My experience at The Elms Hotel Spa was truly exceptional. The blend of historic allure, attentive staff, beautiful grounds, and a rejuvenating spa created an unforgettable stay. I wholeheartedly recommend it to those in search of a distinctive and enchanting getaway. However, it 's crucial to bear in mind that The Elms Hotel Spa stands as a historic establishment. Adjust your expectations accordingly, as it diverges from the mold of a typical modern resort. It 's worth noting that the undeniable charm of a historic building like The Elms Hotel Spa might also bring forth some quirks. These unique features, while contributing to its character, are important to consider when selecting this delightful destination for your escape.
