I?ve been living in Jacksonville FL for 6 months now and I?m going back to NJ tomorrow. MY FIRST STOP WILL BE AN ORDER OF PESTO SHRIMP PIZZA!!! God I miss this place and their amazing pies!!!
The first time. Had the bbq wings and the Pesto shrimps pizza. Wings were good, nice amount of BBQ sauce and size of the wings was satisfactory. Pizza I thought it was very good. Pesto sauce was very tasty and enough shrimp to make it right. I thought the service was good and honest. You let us know how long the food would be before we ordered. If I were in the area, I'd really think about going back there.
This used to be our favorite neighborhood bar but have seen the overall experience regress in the recent couple years unfortunately. Still in the rotation but no longer our go-to. I understand that most restaurants need to cut some corners but this place is pushing it with clearly frozen items. Also the last time here a few weeks back the place had a heavy heavy smell of cleaning solution, maybe they had just mopped or something...
Found the Rail Yard Tavern just by chance and glad we did. Conveniently located off Fairlawn Avenue, this is a bar and casual restaurant with very good food from a very broad menu. Do not be discouraged by the outside entrance which leads to a fair sized bar with a number of tables. Our party of three had sliders, a salad with grilled chicken and a Cajun sandwich sandwich. The sandwiches come with fries or cole slaw and pickle. Another table in the restaurant next to ours consisted of six people who seemed to be enjoying pasta and other Italian dishes. We all remarked how good the food and service were. Prices were very reasonable. When in the area try it.
