Contribuisci feedbackGood food. Sauce is not too sweet and the rice is light and fluffy. I like the texture of the rice, and the containers it comes in. Their lunch menu especially is very reasonably priced. It's a little on the greasier side, but it doesn't ruin the experience at all. It's tricky to find at first-around the corner, tucked in behind some other stores-but small places like that are usually the best anyway.
This was my first time at this restaurant, went on 10/11 and had to return the food and asked for a refund on 10/13. I ordered egg drop soup, lunch portion of chicken fried rice and beef lo mein. You can see from the photos that there is visible mold on the scrambled eggs and on the noodles. The manager asked if I refrigerated the food, which of course I did, but as you can clearly see that mold doesn?t grow in just 3 days. I was refunded my money but I?ll never
Love this place. The food is always fresh and delicious, and their prices are very reasonable. Not too salty like a lot of other Chinese food places. I can recommend the combination fried rice, lo mein, and orange chicken. The sugar donuts appetizer is great too.
The OG hard working owners of the local Hunan Cafe 's. Their kids helping at the cashier while studying at the resturant. Their mom patiently listened to my Grandma over the phone and asked Chef to recreate a Fujian dish ??? for her birthday. Just as I remembered it! sweet and sour pineapple pork from her growing up while accommodating for her lo-sodium needs even subbing chinese broccoli, tofu on her lo-mein. Non-greasy, generous portions and lunch specials.
The food here I've found to be a little different from the usual Chinese fare. While I miss the huge egg rolls (this place's egg rolls are more spring rolls, very crispy but with thin rice paper) we've enjoyed everything we've tried from here. The curry dishes are unique. The dumpling sauce is great. The crispy beef is wonderfully crispy, if a bit too sweet. They have some lighter, healthier options in addition to all the classic dishes, with their own take on them.
