King's New York Pizza - Fairfax

My wife and I went to the restaurant on Friday night. The wait times were longer than expected. They seemed to prioritize pick-up orders over dine-in customers. We had to flag down the waitress instead of her checking on us. It took 35 minutes for our food to arrive, while at least 8 other customers came in to pick up their orders. I ordered a gyro salad, but after inquiring about the meat, the waitress informed me that the gyro meat was not very fresh. Our meals were okay, but I am no longer a fan of this place.

If a restaurant serves cold pizza, has delivery times longer than 2 hours, and responds unsympathetically to inquiries about delivery status, then it's the perfect place for you! Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing and we will be seeking out other options for our family evening outings.

The service staff is friendly, but the food quality is lacking. The pizza has a decent taste, but the cheese is chewy, indicating lower-quality ingredients. I would recommend using higher quality cheese, even if it means paying a little more. Two appetizers were undercooked, but they were replaced gracefully when we brought it to their attention. The French fries and mozzarella sticks are delicious. The ambiance is beautiful, but more suited for younger children who are not as concerned with quality.

Papa owns his ingredients for New York style pizza. There isn't anyone close to matching it. I usually mix and match extra cheese and meatball or ground beef with green pepper or mushrooms and they have excelled on all. Thank you Kings!
