The woman who prepared our sandwiches was complaining the entire time, repeatedly saying "OMG" as if she didn't want to be there. She was also chatting with her coworkers behind the counter in Spanish, expressing her frustration. I will not be returning to this location. Despite her attitude, I even left her a tip because I understand that everyone is struggling during the pandemic. However, people who lack gratitude for having a job, especially when so many are unemployed and unable to afford food, shouldn't be working in customer service. Their unprofessional behavior warrants action. I considered going back to voice my concerns in person, but I had more important things to do. I really hope the owner, Mr. Nepal—whose name is printed on the receipt—takes notice and addresses the issues with his staff. I plan to file an official complaint with Subway as soon as I get home.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Two of the staff members were conversing in another language while preparing my order, and as a result, my sandwich was poorly wrapped. When I got home, all the fillings were scattered everywhere. I was also unhappy with the unhelpful and discourteous attitude of the staff, especially during a busy time when they should have been more attentive. It felt like they didn't care about my business. I won’t be returning.
I want to start by mentioning that I contacted Subway's customer service to report my experience. There was a person ahead of me in line, so I waited my turn. When it was my turn, I asked the manager to change his gloves, as I believe that is standard practice. He responded with a terrible attitude and insisted he wouldn't change them. Despite my request, he repeatedly refused. I then told him I wouldn't be purchasing any sandwiches. As I was leaving, he pointed a knife at me and shouted, "Are you sure you won't buy anything?" In hindsight, I realize I should have called the police, but I was simply trying to remain patient. To make matters worse, he also made a deeply racist comment as I was leaving. It's upset to think that such behavior from a franchise owner exists in our society. This incident occurred right at 11 AM, and I encourage you to check the camera footage to see how he pointed the knife at me.
As a sub shop, how do you run out of lettuce? I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Additionally, some of the employees here are quite rude.
During my visit, I noticed that two Spanish ladies were working in the kitchen. The heavier lady with darker skin was preparing food quite carelessly. She was placing all the vegetables on one side and only using one hand to do so. I took pictures to show how she was doing it compared to how it should be done. Additionally, she wasn’t using paper wraps to package the food; instead, she relied solely on plastic wrap, which I find unhealthy when it comes into contact with food. If I were the manager, I would not allow this to happen again.
