It would be a nice addition if they offered hummus as an option for bagels, wraps, and sandwiches, as well as a dip for veggies. Plain baked potatoes would also be a welcome option, and maybe even sweet potatoes would be even better!
During our brief visit to Fairfield Bay, we were initially disappointed to find that the local gas station was out of breakfast biscuits by 8 o'clock. However, our spirits were lifted when we stumbled upon Beach 2 Bay. Our delivery order was promptly prepared and arrived hot and fresh. We ordered a ham, cheese, and egg bagel with cream cheese, a ham and cheese croissant, and a bacon and cheese croissant. We were all very pleased with our choices, with the bagel stealing the show. I managed to snap photos of the bagel and bacon croissant, but the ham croissant was already half-eaten by the time I got my camera out.
If I could give zero stars, I would. My husband and I walked into the restaurant and were not greeted. The only employee there was complaining about how busy she had been to the other customer present. She said she would serve us and then take a 30-minute break to wash dishes because she only had two clean plates. Finally, she acknowledged us by asking "What do you want?" We had never been there before and did not have a menu. We were shocked and decided to leave. As we were leaving, she almost shouted "Oh, you can stay!" Ha! No thank you. Unfortunately, we cannot comment on the food as we left due to the poor service.
The owner of the restaurant was surprisingly unwelcoming to customers, turning them away and expressing constant stress. Despite customers wanting to dine in, she seemed preoccupied and rude, making them feel unwelcome. When a table opened up, we sat down only to be scolded for moving the owner's items. She made it clear that she was busy and not interested in providing good service. It was a disappointing experience overall, and I suggested to incoming customers to be cautious. The lack of hospitality and negative attitude from the owner and waitress was off-putting. It was my first time there, and despite complimenting the food and atmosphere, the owner barely acknowledged it. A smile and welcoming attitude go a long way in the restaurant industry. I left a minimal tip in hopes that the message would be received. Negativity should not be brought into a business, and it's unfortunate that one bad experience can tarnish the reputation of the industry. In the future, I will seek out places where I can serve myself.
I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while now. I ordered the waffle with bananas and strawberries, a side of bacon, and a cafe latte. Everything was delicious, especially the coffee. Thank you, Tamara, I will definitely be returning. The food is great!
