Jelly Belly Café Snack - Fairfield

I ordered a sample plate and calamari fries, both of which were deep-fried. I have to say it was one of the worst meals I've ever had. Everything was burned on the outside and soggy on the inside, likely from frozen foods being cooked in oil that was way too hot. Everything tasted remarkably similar, probably due to the use of old oil. Additionally, the batter on the onion rings was too thick. The only decent item was the chicken, but even it was extremely dry.

The food was disappointing. The veggie pizza had an excessive amount of cheese, with only a tiny amount of vegetables on each slice. It might be suitable for kids who are less particular about their food.

I visited a café located in the Jelly Belly factory, and I must admit, my expectations were quite low. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the reasonable prices. I ordered a Cobb salad that featured fantastic chicken, fresh vegetables, and a perfectly boiled egg, while my wife enjoyed a flavorful and satisfying turkey burger. The pizza we tried had a unique bean shape, which the kids loved. I initially hesitated to eat here, thinking it might be awful, but I was genuinely impressed with the experience.

This is a pretty nice restaurant. I ordered a crispy chicken ranch sandwich, which was delicious! It came with bacon and lettuce, and a pickle on the side. However, the garlic fries were a bit disappointing; they didn't have much garlic flavor and were quite greasy and undercooked. My husband tried the Caesar wrap, which was unique. We both agreed it was different—not bad, just not what we expected. We also got a souvenir cup with our soda. Overall, the total came to around $36 for everything. The portions were generous, and the atmosphere was pleasant with plenty of seating inside. It was clean, and we enjoyed our meal.
