Jose Tejas - Fairfield

My partner ordered the "non-imaged rubber bear," which he enjoyed. We then opted for the Fajitas for two, and this is where things took a turn. The meat was overcooked—so much so that it ended up with a rubbery texture. It was served on a sizzling skillet, but by the time we noticed the overcooked meat, we wanted to get it off the skillet quickly. Before ordering, we inquired about the portion size since it was labeled for two. Our server assured us it would be enough for two hungry people, but we weren’t so sure. The skillet looked full when it arrived—we ordered half chicken and half steak—but it was mostly chicken, with just a little steak and mostly onions. We managed to make four Fajitas, but there wasn’t much meat to go around. Notably, there were no peppers or anything else besides the meat and onions. As for the small dish with the toppings, we initially thought the mound in the middle was cheese, but it turned out to be a salad with just a sprinkle of cheese on top—definitely misleading. On a positive note, our server was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Overall, while it wasn’t the best experience, it was still a better option than some other restaurants serving similar cuisine.

We absolutely love Jose Tijas! The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The drinks are fantastic and generously sized as well! The staff is friendly and quick, ensuring great service. You definitely get a lot of value for your money. Every visit is a fun experience!

Great food and excellent service! The waitress was very friendly and welcoming, and there was no rush during lunch, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time. The Chicken Banderas was absolutely delicious, and the avocado with pineapple was out of this world. The enchiladas were tasty, though I found them a bit overdone with cheese. The chips were crispy, but I personally prefer them a bit thicker with more potato flavor in each bite. I also tried the strawberry margarita and the spicy margarita, and both were fantastic—especially the spicy one. Overall, both the food and service were impressive, as were the drinks. I will definitely be coming back!

For lunch when they were opened on Thursday first and there was already a line outside, but it was worth waiting because everyone sat immediately! The staff is friendly and the food comes quickly. We ordered all Fajitas and enjoyed it. We love coming here if it's not busy?

3 stars because food was delicious but very bad service! I know how the restaurant service works, at least overall. There is no reservation on this place its just walk ins and we went as a party of 9 and one person was pregnant, while we were waiting for the table we ordered chips salsa and drinks and we had once chair there one of my friend was sitting and staff came and asked not to sit and took the chair away. We waited for 1hr for table and still got 2 separate table we were still okay with that, when the table was ready i was the only one sitting in the car since i was tired and had to stand, the staff was not ready to sit the party because there was one person missing! That was ridiculous! How will it make difference if one person comes after 5 mins? Not visiting this place again! The food was delicious and in good quality and quantity but not worth dealing with staff
