Jungle Subs is located inside Jungle Jim's International Market, a truly unique destination, especially for those in Cincinnati. What sets this sub-shop and deli apart is their use of completely fresh Boar's Head meats and an array of top-notch ingredients. I haven't come across another deli in the area that offers smoked Gouda or pumpernickel bread. Jungle Subs also features some distinctive custom sandwiches like The Matterhorn, The Montezuma, The Jungle Club, and The Gorilla, all packed with toppings and delicious flavor combinations. I've also tried their chili dogs, available in three styles, and they are fantastic! Having visited this shop frequently over the past couple of weeks, I've also sampled some of their soups—Italian Wedding, Chicken Pot Pie, and Boar’s Head Chili—and I was pleasantly surprised by their quality, making them worth the extra cost. If you find yourself nearby, be sure to stop in for a sandwich and perhaps some soup. You won’t regret it!
