Taqueria Mercado - Fairfield

THE place to go for Mexican food in the area. It is a must stop for my wife and me when we come to visit family. We always get tortas, which are made with bread from the bakery right next door, and we have never been disappointed. Glad they have been around for decades and are still going strong!

Bustling spot for Mexican standards like tacos, tamales, quesadillas, and tortas. Weekends you can get taco birria. If my chicken tamale hadn’t been dried out at one end I’d give the food five stars. Good portions, well priced, and tasty lunch specials.
