Contribuisci feedbackExtremely slow service. Employees seemed inexperienced as they were still taking orders with many still waiting to be fulfilled. We waited 15 minutes after ordering to receive our ice cream. Lots of unhappy faces here. If you enter and are 3rd or more in line then I suggest that you turn around. This is why I don't like tipping before being served. The specialties turn out great but are obviously very time consuming.
First thing..I traveled from mobile with my boyfriend and we stopped by on our way to gulf shores. ..Whenever I first got there, there were two young girls working. Might I add they both had their hair down. I’ve worked in restaurants/fast food places for YEARS and that is very unsanitary. I didn’t say anything just because every work environment is different. Me and my boyfriend shared one along the trip and as we got towards the last little bit of the sundae, I felt something weird. So as I sat there, I pulled a piece of curly brown hair out of my mouth. At that point I was furious and already half way to gulf shores so there was no way I was turning back around. Anyways..As I got To the yard, there was one other family there besides me and there were 3 people in that family. I had to wait 20+ minutes before they even took my order. They were too busy laughing and giggling to even notice I was there. On top of that, whenever my sundae was rang up, it came to be $19 almost $20 with tax. Keep in mind this was only ONE sundae. I checked my bank statement as I do everyday to ensure everything was correct, and I was charged $25? FOR ONE SUNDAE?? I won’t be back to this spot again.
The Yard has wonderful shakes. Not only was the food good, but our service was incredible. Kyler was working and made sure each shake was made to perfection. He was working alone but kept the wait short and did not skip any steps.
Went back in June, customer service was ok. They are super sweet. The lady at the counter could not give us an opinion when asked for it. The outside was not clean and some of the inside surfaces where sticky. Also they didn't seem to have a lot of practice making them, they kept refreshing their memory with the menu. It was all over ok, sadly not a wow.
20 customers and one employee making shakes and dipping ice cream so our order took a while. I felt so sorry for him. I wanted to jump behind the counter and help out. I expected my order to be thrown together but they were masterfully done!
