From Scratch A Mountain Kitchen

Love the food. They always look after our families special food requirements and make it taste phenomenal. Best food around in my opinion. It’s our primary place to eat.

We read the reviews and decided to give this place a try. There was not even a hint of disappointment. The staff were friendly and the food was fantastic. We shared a pulled pork poutine that was great, then I had the Tiger Prawn Thai Green Curry. Outstanding! There is a little heat to it but not too much. I definitely recommend this place. The only reason we are not going back right away, is because we tried it out on our last night in Fairmont, otherwise we would go back right away. We will definitely be back the next time we are passing by or staying nearby.

The dinner meal I ate tonight was truly a delight. The fresh trout filet was paired superbly with the pea and asparagus risotto. This risotto is superb! Well worth the trip from Calgary. Such good food. Highly recommended. Ask for the chef's fresh creations rather than standard menu items if you crave for gastronomic gems. Decent wine selection too. Their store is a bonus. Well done From Scratch.

I totally got overwhelmed with this place and ordered way too much food. However, every dish was super fresh and tasty and you could truly taste the 'home cooked ' feel they go for. The prices are reasonable for a tourist area and it is a much better choice than any of the restaurants in the fairmont resort. The service was great as well. There is also a market area where you can buy local goods like jam and honey, meatballs etc. The portions were also very generous. We will definitely return the next time we are in fairmont.

Awesome food, great atmosphere, absolutely must stop here while driving up and down BC-93! Great sandwich, authentic sauces make the flavors very original.
