The staff was helpful and enrolled us in the Best Western program, which allowed us to access better accommodation during our trip around Scotland. They were very helpful.
Nice restaurant staff are attentive and friendly. We dine there most Sundays for lunch. Food is good and always hot three course at the moment for £12 and it had a fair variety on th menu, would recommend
Back to stay here for the week while visiting family in Scotland I have to say there are all different reviews for this hotel and I think the staff are brilliant the set menus are fantastic at £12 for 3 courses and changed daily the decor is soft and relaxing bar prices are fab I cannot fault this hotel and its in a great location to get about happy customer
We went as a group of 11, two of whom were children. The food and service as always was excellent and extremely good value. All who ate commented that they enjoyed the food and could not believe the choice on offer at the price. Unless a big eater you will struggle to do three courses. After we ate another couple of friends joined us and we remained in the bar/reception area for a few drinks afterwards. (We apologise for rearranging the seating) As a group of family and friends it was nice to have a quiet area to chat after the meal. A couple who live in Falkirk but have never visited before plan to return again. Thanks again for the food, service and making us all feel welcome.
We stayed at the hotel for two nights and had two meals at the restaurant. The first night, we had pea and ham soup followed by fish and chips (breaded, not battered). The soup was delicious and both dishes were from the evening menu, which offered great value at £8 for 2 courses or £10 for 3. The second night, we had prawn cocktail with apple (a unique twist) and leek and potato soup. For our main dish, we tried the recommended 'Highland Chicken' - a haggis-stuffed chicken breast in peppercorn sauce with veggies. It was from the A La Carte menu and was well-executed. The only complaint was that the prawn cocktail had large chunks of red onion, which overpowered the dish. The waitstaff was excellent and very friendly.
