Boardwalk - Falkirk

To be honest I was a little sceptical about coming to the restaurant as we heard so much mixed reviews with more to the don 't bother than you 'll love it . However, I 'm a great believer that until I 've been and experienced something myself then it 's up to me to make up my own mind. From walking into the restaurant the ambience and decor was 10/10. We were greated with a smile and offered a table that was suitable for our double buggy which was very thoughtful not just for us but also the surrounding guests. The drinks orders were received in prompt style as was the food even with a packed restaurant today for Father 's Day. Both starter and main course plates were hot (bugbear of mines when hot food is served on cold plates!! as was the food hot and presentation was lovely too. Clearly the management of the staff about who does what and when is working to the naked eye. I appreciate this doesn 't always go to plan behind the scenes but to us as the guest it was seamless. So thank you to the Manager and staff for making today 's Father 's Day an experience in your restaurant a reason to return and to add another recommendation for others to come try this restaurant out for themselves. In addition, for been so polite and courteous to our little boy, making him comfortable and getting him crayons to colour in his menu/activity sheet. He loved the Ice-cream Penguin who now has a name... Walter

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly waiter who made sure we had a table in our preferred location, despite the restaurant being busy. The menu is quite extensive, with a variety of options available. My only concern was the limited selection of vegetarian dishes, but the waiter kindly explained that some items could be adapted to meet vegetarian preferences. As we don’t eat meat but do enjoy fish, we ordered the smoked Finnan haddock. It was served on a bed of potato mash, topped with a rich cheese sauce and grilled mature cheddar. It was an excellent meal—so filling that we couldn't even manage dessert, although the dessert menu looked incredibly tempting. Overall, we were impressed by the staff, the service, the quality of the food, and the overall environment. I do wonder if they might consider adding more vegetarian or fish options to the menu, as they looked amazing! We look forward to our next visit.

We went with friends to the Boardwalk last night and I highly recommend it. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The meals were delicious, served in generous portions, and they even offered a gluten-free menu.

The ambiance and setting of the restaurant are gorgeous. The food was outstanding, and the unique vibe enhanced our experience even more! I will definitely return and highly recommend it to others!
