She didn't like the fact that I asked for the check. Then when she gave me the check I saw the amount was different from the menu amount. When I asked why the check is different she responded that this menu is old menu and they don't have the new menu yet. And all of sudden she start screaming saying to leave and that she don't want my money because I asked her if I can pay for my order the same amount that it show in the menu. She refused and she said go and pay your money to charity. She was very disrespectful to us. Never going to the restaurant. Not recommended at all
I really enjoy the food at Saba. The portions are large and very filling-enough for two people to share an entree. The mandi and haneeth are to die for. So much flavor. The pita bread is bigger than my face! I also love the traditional cucumber tomato salad that comes from the Middle East, and Saba makes a really good one. A little too tomato heavy for me, but it is good. The haneeth is my favorite on the menu here. The only thing I don't like is that I the broth is more oily than I usually like, but it is hardly noticeable once it's mixed into the rice and lamb. I definitely suggest trying it!
Kind and prompt waiter attended to us throughout the evening. We ordered lemonade, hummus, a lamb dish and appetizers. All were excellent! The lemonade blew us away. It was a blended fresh mint and fresh lemonade ice crush. We had Sambousa with meat very tasty. The lamb was slow cooked over a lovely light rice with saffron ? . The main dish was plenty for two persons. The hummus, made on the premises, was some of the best we've tasted. We also had Mara a lamb broth soup also full of flavor. The waiter gave us on the house a Yemeni style salad with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and parsley. Wonderful. The table got a very large flat bread. We'll be back with friends to treat them to this delicious cuisine! There is plenty of outdoor seating. as well as indoor seating. The restaurant has another name too Balqees.
Chicken mandi lamb hanith tasted exactly the same. Traditionally the rice in these 2 very different dishes should taste different. Usually hanith rice is white seasoned with salt, bay leaf, and other simple seasonings. Mandi is usually seasoned with turmeric and other simple seasonings. Both dishes here had turmeric and tasted exactly the same. The lamb was chewy and didn't taste very fresh . It was quite plain, which seemed as if it hadn't been steamed enough. The dishes are WAY overpriced, even though the food is plentiful. Probably the only reason I'd pay this price again. Essentially, this is the place for Saudis to get their fix since Aldeera is the only Saudi restaurant in the area (and US, I believe) and not worth it either. Been to this location and the Fairfax location. Customer service is always slow.
One of the worst service I saw in my life .. I never see people talk to customers like that The old lady who works there she talked to me in a bad way for no reason .. really really bad way but I respected her as a women
