This place is one of my favorite places to spend time, anytime I have a chance. I have been a member just over a year, but I feel like I'm at a family reunion or holiday gathering place each time I visit. Great place,great people, great food,anytime, I have been fortunate enough to stop by and drink a cold one during the summer while out for a ride in my bike. During the winter, the only thing that changes is the weather. Although it may be much cooler outside, the place becomes more cozy,warm and inviting. They're always doing something fun or beneficial for someone in need, and I being disabled, appreciate what they're all about. The pool tournament on Friday night has become a favorite of mine, not only for my love of playing pool, but because of some of the great people I have met and became friends in short time. I haven't had a chance to play in the Cornhole Tournament that's held on Saturday night, but I have it on the list of things that I soon will try. I have only mentioned a few of my experiences that happened on a weekend, but this awesome place is open everyday.

I've been to several state parks for their buffet meals, and this one was the best. The restaurant was slammed with a huge unannounced family reunion, but we were seated in a timely manner, and the buffet was kept filled with good, well-seasoned food. The service was some of the best I have received, even at high-end restaurants. Our favorites of the evening were the brisket and catfish. The brisket was very tender with an optional barbecue sauce. The catfish was perfectly cooked and fresh. We were unable to get into the park lodge or cabins, but will definitely try to come back and stay in the park. We will be back to this restaurant again.
