I understand it is new ownership so take anything older than a year with a grain of salt because I don 't think its the same people or food or even atmosphere. The food was very good but that is not the only reason why you come to Conference Table its the people. I firmly believe that what sets apart the good from the great is the overall experience. Amazing that you can have great food in a sterile environment and your reaction is mhmmm. At Conference Table they make you feel so welcome and they really care that you are happy. Our waitress was awesome and like I said the food was very good. The think that blew me away was I asked about the Turkey and the owner said hold on let me get you a piece. I thought he was being Durgin Park Sarcastic and placed my order anyway. A few minutes later the owner appeared with a piece of turkey for me to sample. He actually told the waitress to hold the order until I had a chance to sample it. Wow they care that much about my experience there. The investment they are making in the place shows and I fully expect Conference Table to not remain a hidden gem long I expect soon I will have to wait in line to get a table.
Went in for drinks on a random Sat afternoon. I had a marg...it was so fresh and delicious. Not made with the pre-mix but with real juice. So good, so happy
This is a great, off the beaten path spot that we have enjoyed many times since the new owners took control. Love the food and the way they are doing everything they can to make it feel (and be) safe for everyone. Firepit tables outside for outdoor dining are amazing. Food is delicious, and freshly prepared. Nothing fancy, but everything is perfect.
Great spot in Falmouth. Was staying at Autocamp Cape Cod and went here for lunch. Best chowder and stuffed clams on the Cape. Everything we ordered was excellent. Service was top notch. ****** Mary was excellent. Will definitely be back again. Ask for the fried Oreo for dessert.
Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the interior is much more spacious than it appears from the outside in this small strip mall. The atmosphere is roomy, with a long bar and sleek furnishings. I arrived just before 6 PM, and several patrons were already finishing their dinners and drinks. I sat at the bar and was greeted right away by one of the bartenders, Peggy, who promptly took my drink order. The bar had a comfortable and welcoming vibe, with most of the patrons appearing to know each other and Peggy well. This level of camaraderie is always a good sign, and I quickly found myself chatting with everyone around me. I decided to order from the specials menu, starting with a butternut squash and apple bisque, followed by boneless fried chicken thighs served with apple slaw, white rice, and a mild curry sauce. The bisque was a creamy homage to autumn in New England, perfectly balancing its two main ingredients. While it could have used some textural variety—perhaps roasted pepitas or crushed hazelnuts—it was still quite delicious. The fried chicken was fantastic; it had a super crispy exterior while remaining moist on the inside. The slaw, devoid of mayo—which I prefer—was refreshing and complemented the richness of the fried chicken nicely. The curry sauce had a nice flavor but could have used a bit more spice or heat, though I understand that not everyone enjoys spicy food. Before my main dish arrived, Peggy generously refreshed my bourbon highball, which was greatly appreciated. By the time I finished my meal, new patrons had arrived at the bar, including regulars stopping by for drinks and dinner. They were all friendly and easy to engage in conversation. Overall, both the food and my two highballs were quite good. But perhaps an equally appealing reason to visit The Conference Table is to unwind with the friendly regulars at the community bar. I’m not sure if The Conference Table can be dubbed the "Cheers" of Falmouth, but it certainly has that potential.
