Healy's Pub - Far Rockaway

This restaurant is fantastic. The atmosphere is really cool, and the customers are great. The staff were excellent as well. They even ordered pizza for everyone in the bar during the playoffs.

I love that, no matter my pronouns, gender, or identity, I always feel welcome and comfortable when I walk into the bar at Healy's.

The bartender was excellent and the prices are very reasonable.

At first, I really enjoyed this bar upon entering. Soft country music was playing in the background and beers were reasonably priced. I overheard one guy yell that he wanted to hear some Metallica, so I figured I'd play some songs on the jukebox. Well, jukebox ate my money, said it was playing my songs, but nothing! Then, blonde haired bartender (who looked like you had to pay her just to smile) decided to just turn off the music altogether and put on the TVs at full volume for some boring soccer game. I am so tired of bars blasting soccer games rather than music! Therefore, I left. They would have made a lot more money from me if they only kept the music on. I will give it another chance later this summer and hope for a better experience. Please be a dive bar, not a soccer bar!
