Unfortunately, the first item we ordered from the menu, the ale pie, was unavailable, and neither was the second choice, the fish pie. It seemed surprising that both options were out of stock, especially during lunchtime at the start of service. Overall, the meals were not well-presented; my onion rings were mushy and cold. Additionally, one of the ladies in our group was disappointed with the women's restroom, which had a broken seat and no soap. We chose not to voice our complaints that day, considering the professional nature of the lunch and to avoid embarrassing our international guest. Regrettably, we will not be returning to this restaurant in the future.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and took care of all nutritional requirements, but we had to remind them that we were missing nicely. eating was nice, but it wasn't hot what made me fall the level of my grading in this review, which is a scandal. if they had overcome the slight failure, they would have pointed marks.
I had a disappointing experience at Sunday dinner. The vegetables were cold, and the meat was overcooked. When we brought our complaints to the staff, they didn’t seem to take them seriously. I won’t be returning.
I don’t have an evening with my family very often, and when I do, I want to go somewhere nice with great food and good customer service. The booking for our table of 7 was for 7:30 and we finally sat down to order at 8:30. Ok, these things happen where other customers take their time to enjoy their meals, but when you are informed by the manager that their online system allows the venue to “triple” book, I was not impressed. Our table was in an area which was cold with the radiators turned off. After asking repeatedly to turn the heating on, they eventually did so. We sat for 10 mins chatting and looking through the menu and making the choices for our dinner. The waiter then came over to take our order and informed us that most of the choices on the menu were no longer available and we were limited to what we could have. Not a great start. The food was average and nothing special. We made the most of the evening, enjoying our family time. The waiter did his best to look after us and we thanked him for this. The management did provide our table with free wine which certainly helped and I thought this was a great way to show their understanding. The Management at The Titchfield Mill need to get their act together. Customers are the most important thing you have, and without them, you have no business. Unfortunately The Titchfield Mill is now off my list and we will not be back.
Aside from the waitress constantly checking on us and eagerly taking our plates before we were finished, my experience was somewhat lacking. When we finally completed our meal, she took away my drink even though it was half full. When I mentioned it to her, she simply shrugged and walked away. On a positive note, the cheeseburgers were delicious and very flavorful. However, my sister nearly tripped in the poorly lit parking lot as well.
