Contribuisci feedbackI always have a great experience when I visit this restaurant. The staff is friendly and I usually go for the Enchiladas. The service is always excellent, the portions are generous, the drinks are delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Both locations in Fargo are equally good. Thank you.
My daughter and I visited the location on 45th street. This was my second time here, with the first visit being just okay. We arrived early on a Saturday at 11am and the restaurant was not busy. The hostess who seated us did not greet us and seemed uninterested. The waiter initially wore a questionable shirt but changed it upon request. We had to ask for napkins and utensils. The food took a long time to arrive and was disappointing; the rice and beans were bland and dry. My main dish also lacked flavor. Both our table and the table next to us waited at least 15 minutes for the bill. When we finally approached the front, the unfriendly hostess appeared slowly and it took another 15-20 minutes to settle the bill. The waiter mentioned he was also bartending, which likely contributed to the delay and left us feeling frustrated. There was no apology for the wait. Overall, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
I used to be a loyal fan of Mexican Village for almost 30 years, always excited to enjoy great Mexican food and good service with my family. However, my last three visits have been disappointing. The quality of the food has gone downhill significantly, and my recent experience at the 45th street location was particularly bad. I had to wait 15 minutes before being served by a sweaty waiter who seemed unprofessional. The table was not properly set with utensils and napkins, and the spilled salsa added to the overall unpleasant experience. The food itself was not good at all. Sadly, Mexican Village is no longer the destination it once was for great food and a wonderful atmosphere. I even shared my frustrations with other diners around me, and we had a good laugh about the terrible experience. While Covid may be a factor, the restaurant's management and staff should be held accountable for the poor service. I miss the old Mexican Village and will not be returning.
I’ve seen how most of these servers interact with each other and it is honestly embarrassing. Most of these servers are childish and petty and I can tell that the work environment of this place is toxic. And management isn’t much better. It’s like this place is run by high schoolers instead of grown adults. I’ve only ever had one server that had great service. I can’t remember her name but the other servers could learn something from this woman. I honestly don’t know how they can stay open with how mediocre most of the workers are. This used to be my favorite place for drinks after work but I’ll be going to the downtown location from now on and I suggest others should do the same so they can save themselves from terrible service and disappointment.
Server was awesome! Tall blonde lady, she was very experienced and timely. Wish I could remember her name! Food was good as usual! Thank you Mexican VillageVisit 10/21/21 @4:30-6PM
