El Colibrí - Faribault

Did not like food. It look gross and it tasted gross. It was like they almost scooped it out of the garbage. Chips tasted old/rancid. Oh. And they have fresh bread yeah, no! It 's not fresh..... that tasted old too!! First and last time I 'm stopping here.

I ordered the fajitas, which were nicely presented on their own. When paired with the two sauces—one red salsa and guacamole served in squeeze bottles—they were absolutely excellent. I did my best to express how much I loved the green sauce, mixing English and Spanglish. Later, when we were paying the bill, the kitchen surprised me by filling two small cups with the green sauce for me to take home, and I hadn't even asked for them! Now that's what I call great service!

The food was consistently hot, delicious, and satisfying. The service was quick and accompanied by friendly smiles. What more could you ask for?

I absolutely adore this place! If you're looking for genuine Mexican cuisine rather than the typical fare served everywhere else, this is the spot for you. I'm thrilled to have this hidden gem in our town!

The food is great and service is wonderful. Most of the workers speak very little English, so it can be hard sometimes to give your order. Definitely helps to know some Spanish.
