I arrived around 10:45am to stand inline which wasn’t too bad. The line moved decently quickly and they had everything available. I tried the pork ribs, Mac n cheese, brisket, burnt ends, and crack pie. Everything was so delicious and tasted like more of a high level home-style cooking than mass volume bbq spots. The burnt ends were incredible with a crispy outside and tender bite on the inside. The crack pie was also good, but very sugary. The beans were delicious and anything you get you won’t be disappointed. 10/10 recommend trying this spot out!
If you have a chance to try their Pastrami Beef rib you must get it. It is so tender moist and delicious. It will melt in your mouth. I love smoked beef ribs and having it cooked like a pastrami just made this possible the best beef rib I’ve ever eaten. It’s not cheap at $33.99/lb and each rib is about 2 lb. But it’s totally worth it. You can taste the quality of the beef they use. And because it is so rich you don’t need to each much to be satisfied. It’s definitely a dish to share with the table. I will definitely be coming back hopefully the pastrami will be there the next time I’m there.
An excellent lunch spot if you're looking for some quick service good BBQ. Parking can be a little dicey, but everything on the menu is slow cooked excellence- if you're indecisive, try the Toddfather sandwich, as you get a tall sandwich with all the meat. If they have it in stock, be sure to get the cornbread as well! You really cannot go wrong with this place, it's become a staple in my rotation of lovely holes-in-the-wall spots in North Dallas.
Brisket was not as tender as I was expecting but the bark was terrific. Pastrami beef rib lacked salt. Chicken was the best I've had since I visited Snow's. Overall it was good but definitely not the best in DFW as some have said.
Went to try this bbq for the first time, wanted to try pastrami brisket but was sold out. We tried the pastrami ribs instead. They told us they were about 1.5 lbs each. We each had one rib and one side and water. Did not look at prices but at check out was 160.00. CRAZZY. Ribs were more than 1/2 all fat and bone… not worth 15.00. Let alone 65 to 70 each… won’t be back
