Charlie's Old Fashioned Kitchen

Never answered the phone. Assumed they were closed. Went in to order take out during my lunch break, was not very busy… took over 20 minutes my food. I only ordered a wrap.

Upbeat atmosphere. Great service. Tasty food. Super clean. Had The Farmer sandwich. Recommend putting descriptions of specialty sandwiches in the menus so we don't have to ask the waitress to go through each one.

I gave only 4 stars mainly because of the receipt. I ordered a Jr cheeseburger with fries and the menu said $8.99 but I was charged $10.08 and that difference was adding the cheese. My friend ordered chicken tenders with onion rings and mashed potatoes…her meal was charged over $2.00 from listed price and I’m sure it was because she got a bowl of gravy and a bowl of ranch dressing. The condiments and add ons really need to be separated out on the receipt so we can understand that. As far as the food goes, I’ve been very happy with it. My friend complained a lot about hers but she does that everywhere she goes.

The atmosphere was very nice, service was quick. However they did not put in our whole order so we missed out on our potato boats. They offered to make them for us, but our plates had already arrived and did not want to wait on them. The chicken fried steak was burnt on one side. The Charlie's ham sandwich was good. I was hoping for everything to be better, I would understand if they were really busy, when we went there it was not crowded at all. Maybe I will try it again another night.

Absolutely the friendliest most efficient waitress I have ever had the pleasure to be served by. This place is a gem!
