I took a photo of the newest menu and prices. It isn't such a dirty dive bar anymore. They have interesting things going on and specials that are decent. The food seems better. They offer a 4 oz and 8 oz burger now too. I am liking this place again. I hope they don't try to bring back that terrible taco bar. I am optimistic that this place will get more of my business in the future. Good burgers to include Juicy Lucy burgers. Watch out for the cheese!! I think this is my 3rd review on this place. I am happy that it has changed for the better. It really needed a refresh. Maybe i will see you there.
Went there tonight knowing I was 86'd but it had been a year since I had gone there since I got banned, I was just seeing if I could catch up with everyone that use to go back there in the day. I personally never got told I was 86'd but my friend did(I may sound like an **** with that statement but this is my hometown bar that I have many great memories at). I got 86'd for the reason I went downstairs and took a beer out of the beer cooler when everyone else did it but my friend and I just happened to get caught on camera. We sat down, waited about 5 minutes until a customer started screaming for a bartender. Bartender, manager or server, came up, grabbed drinks without checking our IDs, served us our drinks. She then found her other co-worker and talked to her in the kitchen, (obviously talking about us). After a minute or two they both walk over and ask our names. We respond, then they ask my friend her last name and she tells them. They tell her that she is 86'd and needs to get out. They did not recognize me because I didn't live there when this incident happened. But the fact that they served us knowing that my friend was banned and then told her she was 86'd is not how one should run a bar. If I was the owner I would be concerned for my business being in the hands of someone who serves a customer that they know is 86'd. I'm sad to say that my favorite hometown bar is something I never want to visit again.
Love this place. It's under new MGMT. Good music cold beer. Really good food and burgers!! More pull tabs than ever. Lots of fun!!
This charming small-town bar has recently received a makeover. If you're in the mood for a tasty, greasy burger, this is the place to be. I enjoyed a mushroom Velveeta burger this evening, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well-seasoned it was—definitely a huge plus, as many places skip this crucial step these days. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly to my liking. Tonight's drink special was a Snow White martini, which I can only describe as the Kentucky Fried Chicken of cocktails—absolutely finger-licking good!
The owner appears to have a drinking problem, as I've witnessed him intoxicated and driving away from the restaurant. He frequently yells at his staff and has an unpleasant demeanor overall. On the positive side, the bartenders were fantastic!
