Never had a disappointment with it. And today it wasn’t exception. After visit Fátima we decide to lunch nearby. Where to, where to… hum… let’s try this typical restaurant. Just 10 minutes drive from Fátima city center, in the road that leads us to Minde and Serra de Aire e Candeeiros, we found a small village called Boleiros. In front of the church we found Restaurant “O Truão”. It’s a quite large complex due to a enormous room for groups, parties and weddings. But it has a small and cozy room, with a warm fireplace where the restaurant works. So warm, so cozy in this cold, cold day! Typical with stone walls, wood benches and very good traditional Portuguese food. For starters they put a small dish with Portuguese “enchidos”, with corn bread… wow!!! Then we choose octopus and “Fritada de Boleiros”, a mixed of pork ribs with beans and rice… you should try it! For desert they have a buffet of traditional deserts and fruits. A place to come back.
