Le Provencal is a delightful restaurant situated in the center of Fayence. The highlight of dining at this establishment is the enjoyable experience of dining on the outdoor terrace, which provides a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, Le Provencal offers a good selection of local wines, allowing guests to complement their meals with excellent regional choices. The menu at Le Provencal is simple and expertly prepared, with a fusion twist. This fusion style could possibly reflect the owners' love for traveling and their exploration of different culinary influences. I particularly enjoyed the sardines and tuna dishes, as they showcase the restaurant's ability to prepare seafood excellently. However, the dessert options were somewhat limited during our visit, which might be a minor drawback for those with a sweet tooth. Nonetheless, the reasonable prices and overall positive experience make Le Provencal a restaurant worth visiting. Its charming Provencal ambiance, well-prepared dishes, and the owners' passion for food and travel make it a delightful choice for dining in Fayence.
Our favourite restaurant in the entire region, the freshest cuisine and wonderful service. Just too sad to hear the restaurant is closing for good at the end of September 2022, this month. We will miss it terribly.
Best Aperol spritz in Fayence! Proprietor very knowledgeable about local wineries to visit. Food good, served on smallish outdoor terrace. Reasonably priced for Provençal food
We struggled to find a place to eat as it was a Tuesday and lots of places were either closed or didn’t take credit card. So we decided on this restaurant. It was full of British people, nothing wrong with that of course but the lack of locals was a bit of a warning. Most options on the menu was a tartare of some sort, either salmon or beef or scallops etc, a bit heavy on the tartare side for me. I chose the beef Daube, hoping for the wonderful classic Provençal stew with beef, carrots, herbs, red wine flavoured with strips of orange peel. Sadly the version served here had mostly hard, tough, grisly pieces of beef which I couldn’t eat. The tagliatelle it was served with was not hot enough was not seasoned. Pasta cooked in water with no salt or not enough is very bland. The starter of fried squid rings was fine, would have liked it served with aioli which this village is known for. The local rosé was great.
