Today we opted for the canteen style meal of two mains and two sides, myself picking the pulled pork, ginger chicken, Portuguese chicken salad and sweet potato salad.<br/ <br/ The food here is best described as homely, with a really modern Asian fusion taste. I didn't know they were a Vietnamese styled restaurant until I landed on the zomato page now, however I particularly enjoyed the pulled porks aromatic flavour paired with the fresh sweet potato, and a tender chicken.<br/ <br/ Homely, good, hearty food that I would recommend in an outdoor goldcoast like ambience. Fast service as well (less than a minute receiving food)! <br/ <br/ Food: 4/5<br/ Service: 4/5<br/ Ambience: 4/5<br/ Value: 3.5/5<br/ <br/ Overall: 4/5
Charming little cafe in Grosvenor place with outdoor seating. If its cold they offer blankets to keep you warm too. Service is friendly and efficient and there are food to order from the menu or design your own plate with all the offerings displayed nicely in the windows. There is a great variety of food to choose from and all looked appetising and fresh. I chose the braised lamb, chicken schnitzel, fries and chorizo pasta on this occasion. Generous portions and lamb was very tender and flavoursome and chicken schnitzel crispy. Pasta was also good and fries were soggy as it was on the bottom of the plate but it was fine. Coffee is good as was the brownie. A lovely spot for a casual, tasty and relaxing meal.
Best sliders I have had for a looong time! Come after 3 pm to get a taste of the $3 Spicy Chicken slider during happy hour! The morning coffee is just as awesome!
Tucked away within the Grosvenor Place Piazza, Grand Duk is a charming little restaurant that delivers an Asian inspired fusion of modern Australian and French food, in a relaxed and casual dining environment. <br/ <br/ Grand Duk scores highly in service, quality and consistency.<br/ <br/ The service is warm, friendly, inviting and the staff are quick to attend to you, whether take away or table service. Over the dozens of times I've dined here, there have only been a few instances of incorrect orders being processed by the takeaway kitchen staff, but was promptly resolved with no hassles.<br/ <br/ .The quality of the food and beverages served are of a very high standard and the prices are reasonable. I am often here for a coffee fix and the baristas can be seen putting a lot of love and effort in their creations. <br/ The lunch time combo deals are excellent value for money at $12.90 for a main and two side. I have tried all their mains and while the options are limited, each dish stands out individually; the flavours are clear and the ingredients are fresh. There's an equally interesting set of salads should you wish for a healthy option. My favourite food items would be the bacon egg wrap and the 12-hours braised lamb; excellent dishes that speak volumes in flavour and served in manageable portions..In terms of the ambiance; the design is bright, contemporary and with amply seating options. However, the service counter area can get quite crowded during busy times, as the waiting area shares space with the staff picking coffee kitchen orders as well as other customers waiting in line to order.<br/ <br/ .Overall, the service of the staff and quality of the food at Grand Duk has been very consistent; making the customer experience a very enjoyable one. Whether it's for coffee or to dine, Grand Duk is an excellent option within the Rocks and I would highly recommend paying a visit.
Dinner menu was way too simple.<br/ <br/ Chicken/Beef Pho <br/ And <br/ Ask waiter for today special.<br/ <br/ I was thinking... what's going on?<br/ <br/ Located at Grosvernor Place, Note for Zomato team, its at the Rocks, and not in CBD)<br/ I think because of the construction of light rail along George street, some business has got the impact.<br/ <br/ Back to the food, so we ordered both pho, chicken and beef.<br/ <br/ Personally Beef Pho taste super tasty.<br/ You can taste the beef broth has been perfumed with star anise, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and ginger.<br/ On top of that sprig of coriander and basil also present with some beans sprout as a garnished.<br/ <br/ Chicken Pho doesn't have a strong characteristic broth, like beef, however the generous amount of chicken pieces make up for it.<br/
